New love can come in surprising forms… Like this adorable ten-month old stray we met at the Denver animal shelter Sunday. Her name is Blue and only four hours after carrying her out of the shelter we’re thick as thieves. It was love at first sight. I saw her in the kennel and put my hand under the glass (which is a HORRIBLE IDEA WITH AN UNKNOWN STRAY SHELTER DOG but i just did it on stupid instinct) and she licked my fingers and placed her paw on me and whined. I waited while another family visited with her crying because I was sure she’d be adopted but by some miracle they weren’t smart enough to see her beautiful spirit and passed her off to us. After her surgery today (she needed spaying) I finally got to take her home and I am weeping. Since my dearest bff dog Missy passed away I’ve felt so empty and now that Blue is here it’s like I feel Missy’s spirit all around me and I’m just. So happy that I can take care of this new puppy like we took care of missy. *emotional rant over sorry I’m weeping
